The Cycle MOT Supported schemes

Cycle To Work Schemes

At Cycle MOT, we encourage as many people as possible to get on their bikes, and that’s why we’re proud to be a part of the UK's leading cycle schemes that aim to promote cycling across the UK. We offer both New and Refurbished bikes on the Cycle to Work Scheme.

What is Cycle to Work?

Cycle to Work is a government-supported scheme which enables you to access a bike and equipment through your employer to enable you to cycle to work. Your employer will then deduct the costs from your gross salary.

As the deductions are from your gross salary, this means that you will also benefit by paying less tax and National Insurance. The amount you save will depend upon your salary and can be up to a massive 42%.

What is the usual process?

1. Find out from your employer which scheme they participate in.

2. Choose your bike and any additional accessories

3. Reserve your bike at The Cycle MOT

4. Apply for your voucher through your scheme provider or employer

5. Send your voucher to us at info@thecyclemot.co.uk

6. We will then build and prepare your bike & accessories

7. When everything is ready, we will call you to collect. It's that simple!

Usually Asked Question:-

Can I buy at the same price if an item is on sale?
- As cycle schemes offer a higher rate of discount than sale prices, this cannot be used together. The cycle scheme discount will be applied to the full retail price of the items listed.

What if I already have a bike?
- You can use your certificate for any of the equipment that you may need to either build or upgrade your existing bike, e.g. groupsets, wheels, componentry and any of the associated accessories or clothing within the above, which will make your journey safer or more secure.

What bike & equipment can I get?

- You can use your certificate toward any adult bicycle, including electric bikes, electric and non-electric cargo bikes, and conversion kits.

It can also be applied to a wide range of clothing, accessories, and tools designed to improve safety and security while you ride. This includes essentials such as helmets, shoes, and commuter clothing, as well as key bike accessories like lights, mudguards, reflectors, and panniers.

Additionally, you can include items that support maintenance and longevity, such as tools and pumps, along with security features like locks and practical commuting backpacks to make your journey more convenient.
